M i c h e l l e B u f a n o
Executive Director, Chihuly Garden and Glass
As executive director of Chihuly Garden and Glass Michelle Bufano oversees the overall direction
and operation of the exhibition. She brings more than 20 years of experience working in nonprofit
organizations and has held leadership positions at Pratt Fine Arts Center, Museum of Glass, and Tacoma
Art Museum during times of major growth and expansion.
Prior to joining the exhibition, Bufano served as Executive Director and Education Director, respectively,
at Pratt Fine Arts Center. Bufano has been a consultant to nonprofit arts organizations and has served as
an adjunct professor on these topics in the Museum Studies program at the University of Washington. In
addition, she holds an M.A. in Education from the George Washington University.

Director and Curator, Ronna and Eric Hoffman Gallery of Contemporary Art at Lewis & Clark College,
Portland, Oregon
Linda Tesner has served as the Hoffman Gallery's director since 1998. She is the curator for The George
R. Stroemple Collection. She was formerly the assistant director of Portland Art Museum and director
of Maryhill Museum of Art in Goldendale, Washington. A prolific writer, Linda has authored numerous
exhibition catalogs, monographs and critical reviews over the past 30 years, including the most recent
20-year retrospective of the Bonnie Bronson Fellows.
Ty l e r B u d g e
Professor, University of Washington, Tacoma
Tyler Budge teaches interdisciplinary studio arts at the University of Washington in Tacoma. He received
his BFA from Utah State University in 1999 and his MFA in Sculpture from Illinois State University in
2002. His sculpture, video, and installation work has been exhibited in numerous galleries in solo
and group exhibitions. In 2012 he was also a visiting artist at Museum of Glass. His current work
explores the social construction of masculinity in male children and his sculptural installations reference
metaphors represented by objects or images to autobiographically address personal experiences.
