For a couple who are both police
officers, and often had night shifts, the
bedroom needed to work in the daytime
as well as at night.
The drapes, along with the wall color,
keep out and absorb light without it
feeling claustrophobic.
The only whimsy is the four poster bed,
which is a simple addition of elegance
and romance, making the room inviting.
