Darkness is essential at night for any
bedroom. The curtains close fully and
are lined with black-out fabric.
Medium brown, hardy maple floors
with very little grain, provide richness
without being too dark.
The area rug under the bed adds
texture and comfort.
Accents are placed strategically in
bold, strong colors to keep the space
interesting.
The completion of the room is in the
ceiling pendant, which not only sheds
a soft glow, but as an unexpected
bonus, it refracts light and throws
a phenomenal pattern across the
ceiling and down the walls, creating
a light show.

Master Retreat
Bedroom
The incredible view of the trees
inspired the design for this 3rd floor
master retreat.
The size of the opening was increased
to allow for new, large windows.
The wall was opened up to create
French doors and a Juliette balcony
that maximizes the natural light in the
space and brings the beauty of the
surroundings into the room.
