AGHHealthFair Set For Nov. 2
BERLIN – AGH Healthy Happenings Community Health Fair is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 2. The annual free health fair returns to Pocomoke this year, featuring country music entertainer turned inspirational speaker LaDonna Gatlin. The focus of this year’s fair is caring for your mental health. Gatlin’s presentation, Tune Up Your Life, is about living your personal values to lead a more fulfilling life. But she will also touch on her personal experience with depression and attempted suicide and the importance of setting aside the stigma surrounding mental illness to seek the help needed to become well. Her keynote presentation will occur at noon, with free screenings, alternative wellness therapy sessions, demonstrations and opportunities to receive valuable health information at the various booths taking place from 8 a.m.-noon. From 8-11 a.m., free screenings will be taking place. At 9 a.m., a dance and gymnastics demonstration by Twisters Gymnastics will take place. At 10 a.m., a paddleboard and kayak demonstration by Ayers Creek Adventures will be featured. A complimentary lunch will be served at 11 a.m. The event will conclude at 1 p.m.
