looking for an enjoyable free
morning activity in Ocean City
can come to the Ocean City
Life-Saving Station Museum.
Nestled on the Boardwalk
by the Inlet, the Museum of-
fers free programs every day
of the week with topics rang-
ing from knot tying to "All
About Sharks."
Running until Aug. 24, pro-
grams take place every day at
10 a.m. and last approximate-
ly 30 minutes.
Sunday: New this year, the
program entitled "Diary of a
Reptile" as presented by The
Delmarva Discovery Center.
Guests can learn how a snake
sleeps or how a turtle swims
by joining the DDC staff as
they present the marvelous
stories of Ocean City's native
reptiles and amphibians.
Monday: Members of the
Ocean City Beach Patrol give
tips for a great beach vacation
while keeping safe.
Tuesday: Life-long resident
and historian George Hurley
presents OCBC (Ocean City
Before Condominiums) true
tales of Ocean City history.
Wednesday: "Knot Tying"
is presented by members of
the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
This family fun activity will
teach visitors how to tie a
bowline and many more types
of knots.
Thursday: "All About
Sharks" Participants learn
what sets sharks apart from
other fish.
Friday: "Storm Warriors"
Find out what it was like to be
a "Storm Warrior" of the Unit-
ed States Life-Saving Service.
Saturday: "Aquarium Feed-
ing" Watch and learn about
local area marine critters as
they have their morning meal.
