T
he summer of 2013 is fast approaching. Have
you made your plans yet? Join us for our
Summer Program. Our offerings continue a
long tradition of excellence, enrichment and
fun. We are pleased to offer several new classes and
camps including: Poetry Theatre, a study skills camp
for children through grade 6, a reading class for 7th
and 8th graders, and a writing class for Upper School
students.

We will continue to offer three divisions of our
Hawks Haven Day Camp. One geared toward K4 and
Kindergarten students, one for primary age students
(Grades 1-4), and a specifically designed program
for middle school students (Grades 5-8). The Hawks
Haven camps will incorporate enrichment as well
as instruction and supervised play. Off-campus
experiences will remain an integral part of the Hawks
Haven program.

Several of our varsity coaches will again offer camps in
their respective sports. The summer tennis program
is back for another superb season. This year, all
participants in our sports camps are required to
read the Concussion Fact Sheet (pg. 31-32) and
return the signed Concussion Acknowledgement
form with registration (pg. 33).

We will also continue to offer academic enrichment
in reading and math classes to prepare our youngest
students for the 2013-2014 school year. Regardless of
your interest or age, The Prairie School's 2013 Summer
Program has something for you!
Class sizes are limited in some cases, so sign up early to
guarantee a spot. All registrations will be confirmed by
mail. In the event a class is canceled (although we will
try our best to avoid it), you will receive a full refund
and written notification. The School, except where
noted in course descriptions, will not provide lunch and
other snacks.
To sign up for a course, please return the Registration
Form located in this booklet or use our online form at
www.prairieschool.com/summer2013. Forms should be
returned with a check made payable to The Prairie School.
If you prefer, you can pay registration fees by Visa or
Mastercard as indicated on the registration forms.
