Summer Tennis

Beginning Tennis
For students new to tennis who are able to follow
directions and are excited to learn. The emphasis is on
learning how to handle the ball and racquet. Students
will need to bring their own tennis racquet; tennis balls
will be supplied. Minimum age requirement is six, and
maximum is thirteen unless approved by an instructor.

Intermediate Tennis
For students who have some tennis experience. The
emphasis will be on forehand, serve, and playing
doubles. Students will need to bring their own tennis
racquet; tennis balls will be supplied. Minimum age is
eight and maximum is thirteen, unless approved by an
instructor.

Middle School "Budding Stars" Tennis Class
A limited number of students who love the game
and are willing to work will be enrolled in this class.
Students must be entering grades 5 through 8 unless
approved by an instructor. Half of the class will
be instruction and drills and the other half will be
supervised play. Again this year, we are excited to offer
supervised match-play on Friday mornings, included in
the weekly class fee! If you have any questions please

All classes are held on the Prairie School tennis courts, and class sizes are limited. The primary instructors for tennis
are Harold Swanson and Nich Schafer. There will be NO prorating of tennis fees. Private lessons are also available.
