Middle School Author Exploration
For children entering 7th or 8th grade

Join us as we read and research your favorite authors
and write stories that are inspired by their writing
styles. Requirement: Students must be avid readers,
and each student must have an author picked out that
he/she wants to study by the first day of class on July
15th.

Tutoring Services:
Math and Language Arts
For children entering grades 1 through 12
Private 1:1 remedial or enrichment classes in math,
language arts, or other disciplines for all levels. Actual
schedules will be confirmed between the student and
instructor upon receipt of registration form. Sign-up
for tutoring will require a $210 deposit, reserving six
1-hour weekly sessions. Please contact the Director
of Summer Programs, Alan Mills, at 260-7242 with any
questions or to arrange additional tutoring sessions.

Introduction to Online Summer Reading
For children entering 9th grade
Join us as we discuss and take notes on the summer
reading books (TBA), as well as strengthen writing,
editing, and grammar skills. An important component
of this workshop will be learning how to navigate the
summer reading website and its required discussion
forums. Students must bring both required books to
class on June 17th.
This class is strongly encouraged for students new to Prairie.
