Stephen Troake (’98), an accountant at Renaissance Re, and wife Megan Spurling Troake (’99) were surprised by the early arrival of daughter Sydney in the car on the way to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital this spring. Qian Dickinson (’98) is a web designer with Aardvark Communications. Jennifer Spurling Adderley (’99), who works at Butterfield & Vallis, had her head shaved for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, raising an impressive $7,000—temporarily, at least, giving her the same style as one-year-old son Rocco. Kevin Richards (’99) is studying for an MBA at the University of Notre Dame, IN. Richards, along with teammates Matt Ashley, Rachel Reiter and Bill O’Brien, won second place out of a field of 25 in the Aspen Institute Business and Society International MBA Case Competition (one of the largest MBA case competitions). This was the first year Notre Dame was invited to participate. Richard Campbell (’00) is teaching full time at Somerset Primary School. Kalilah Robinson (’00) is based in Los Angeles, but travels widely as a photographer. Robinson was Adrian Kawaley-Lathan’s unit production manager and director of photography for Behind the Mask, a documentary on Bermuda’s gombeys, and she shot the video featured on his company RockFire Bermuda’s website. Congratulations to Michael MurdochSmith (’00), who tied the knot with Alison Redford. He is an assistant underwriter for specialty reinsurance at Allied World Assurance Company, Ltd. Juliette Oatley (’00) was co-manager of the U-17 Bermuda Hockey team (which includes 10 current students and one alumna) when the team went to Uruguay in March for first Pan-American Youth Championships. Jessica Sousa McClure (’00) has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Science and a Master of Arts degree in Environment and Health from McMaster University, Hamilton, Ont. She is an environmental and safety technician at Bermuda Electric Light Company (BELCO), where she is responsible for developing and implementing an environmental management system (EMS). McClure was a member of the Bermuda National Women’s Field Hockey Team at 18, represented Bermuda at the 2009 Pan American Cup, and is currently training for the 2010 Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico this summer. Zander Kirkland (’01), who with brother Jesse is hoping to compete in the 2012 London Olympics, competed in his first 49er regatta in the Bahamas, finishing 24th in the Miami Olympic Class Regatta. When not competing, he is working in California. Mellissa Durrant (’01), a chartered accountant, passed the UFE—final CA examination—through the Atlantic School of Chartered Accountants programme. She also moved from KPMG (where she got her qualifying hours) to Zurich Insurance Company Bermuda as a reinsurance accountant. Mia Chambray (’01), who graduated from Brock University, St. Catharines, Ont., with a degree in Media Communications, is the marketing and special events manager at John Barritt & Son. Katrina Kawaley-Lathan (’01), a graduate of Queen’s University, Kingston, Ont., teaches Year S1 at Saltus Lower Primary. Film student Bayard Outerbridge (’01) made a short documentary on the life of Bermudian artist Trevor Todd called Face of the Rock which had its debut at the Bermuda International Film Festival. Andrew Kirkpatrick (’01) was his assistant cameraman and helped coordinate production on the Island. Kirkpatrick was also the soundman for the peer mediation film by Lucinda Spurling as part of this year’s PartnerRe “Dollars for Hours” project for the Coalition for the Protection of Children, which featured Saltus Secondary students. Anne Marwick (’01) received the Bank of Bermuda Foundation Eldon H. Trimingham Master of Business Administration Scholarship 2008 for her studies at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Rachael Beasley (’01) is a senior consultant in human capital for Deloitte (Bermuda). Tyler Butterfield (’01), who quit procycling to turn his talents to triathlon, is training for the 2012 Olympics. In 2010, he placed third among more than 800 competitors in the 7.0 Ironman in St. Croix, and has his sights set on the Hawaii Ironman World Championships in October. He received an achievement award for triathlon at the Bermuda Sports Awards. 2000s Nicholas Webster (’00) got a Masters degree in Music WHERE WHERE WHERE WHERE? and is now a lecturer in Hertfordshire, UK. WHERE? WHERE? WHERE? Sarah Gallo (’00) graduated from Northeastern University, Boston, MA, in Biology and went on to Boston University School of Medicine.
