Newly-bald students and staff show the results of their shaving day. Right: a gutsy volunteer goes under the clippers
A close shave with destiny…
Headmaster Staunton played in the Staff vs. Students basketball fundraiser, one of several activities to raise money for St. Baldrick’s Foundation, which funds childhood cancer research. Several Saltus staff and students, sponsored by friends and family, had their heads shaved in the annual day of events to show solidarity with young cancer patients. Since 2000, St. Baldrick’s has raised more than $87 million worldwide with more than 3,200 events shaving over 145,000 heads in 28 countries.
