Everythingwedointhenextfewyearsshould becloselytiedtothemission.Inspirationalteaching andacommitmenttoacademicexcellencewillbe ourprimaryobjectives.Aswell,wewanttostress goodbehaviourandstrongvalues,suchasrespect andintegrity.Equallyimportantiswhatwecan S A LT U S M A G A Z I N E doforthoselessfortunatethanourselves.Wewill continuetofocusoncommunityservice. What have been the best parts of the job so far? Ihavereallyenjoyedmytimewiththestudents. Theyarethebest!Generallyhere,thekidsare top-notch.Theparentsareincreasinglymore supportiveastheyhearaboutthechangesbeing introduced.Theyareonlyinterestedinmakingthis thebestpossibleschoolinBermuda.Theirhearts areintherightplace. IntermsofBermuda,it’satrueparadise.One ofthefirstthingsmywifeandIdidafterarriving herewastobuyaboat—nothingextravagant,but theperspectivefromthewaterissodifferentthan fromtheland.I’vebeenaroundthewholeIsland anditistrulyremarkable. 23
