Rachael Beasley Rance ('01)
welcomed baby Tyler Jacob in July.
Kiera Aitken ('01) won three medals
in the Catalan Cup Absolute Swimming
Championships in Spain in May: a
gold medal in the 100m backstroke,
clocking a time of 1:03.93; a silver
medal in the 100m freestyle in a time
of 58.42; and she was on the team
that finished third in the 4×50
freestyle, clocking a time of 2:03.04.
Edward Barnes ('02) married Sun
Young Shin in Seoul, Korea on Easter
Sunday. Brothers Andrew ('05) and
John ('10) attended, along with
classmate Mark Mitchell (2002).
Steven McGuinness ('02) was pro-
moted from constable to sergeant in
the Bermuda Reserve Police, which
he joined in 2007. His day job is rela-
tionship manager, credit management
and analytics, in the Business Banking
Department at HSBC.
LaKae Dill ('02) married Andrew
Tavares in 2011 and is studying to be a
weight management coach through
the American Council on Exercise.
Onea Mills ('02) has been awarded
a 2012 Green Family Scholarship to
attend Florida National College to
study health sciences diagnostic
medical sonography.
Claire Humphrey (2002) was in
Bermuda visiting her sister, Marie, with
her husband Derek, a vet. Claire is still
involved with training horses and
makes her home in Florida.

Jonathan graduated from Wharton
School of Business with a BSc
magna cum laude and Green
Templeton College, University of
Oxford with a MSc in Applied Statis-
tics; he was awarded the Gutiérrez
Toscano prize for best academic per-
formance. Today, he is an actuarial
analyst at ACE Bermuda. Katie, who
graduated from the University of
Western Ontario with a Sociology
major and Psychology minor, is a
property treaty underwriter with Catlin
Insurance Company. Alexandra, who
graduated from Dalhousie with a de-
gree in Sociology and Anthropology,
was sales manager at Rosewood
Tucker's Point.
Tiffany Paynter ('03) was promoted
to development associate and com-
munity facilitator at the Performing
Arts Centre Project. Tiffany also wrote
and performed a poem for the John
Lennon Double Fantasy Tribute
Concert in September, and read one
of her poems at the Poetry Café at
Saltus in October.
Jerome Overbey (2003) joined the
Bermuda Police Service in May.
Rachel Sawden ('04), a weather
presenter at VSB-TV, is also vice presi-
dent, head of business development
for Bermydeals (www.bermydeals.bm),
a company launched in 2011 and
which offers daily deals to locals.
"We've won three awards over the
past year--Local Innovation of the
Year at the 2011 TechAwards, The
Bermudian magazine's Best of
Bermuda Entrepreneur of the Year
2012, and a Bottom Line Small
Business Award earlier in the
summer," she reports.
