Dr. Zhang's research goal
is to improve treatment
outcomes of patients with
schizophrenia and other
psychiatric disorders.
Current research is focused
on pharmacogenomics of
antipsychotic drug response,
using genomic markers to
predict medication efficacy
and side effects. He treats and
studies patients with early
stages of schizophrenia.
Dr. Zou studies hematopoietic
stem cell (HSC) function under
normal and inflammatory
conditions. Another current
focus is on how inflammatory
factors affect the bone
morrow microenvironment
and differentiation of stromal
cells in lymphoid organs in
autoimmune diseases.
