Around 10:30 a.m. on June 23, an OCPD officer pulled over a vehicle on Baltimore Ave. after discovering neither of the two occupants were wearing seatbelts. As the vehicle was turning off Baltimore Ave. to stop, the officer noticed a handrolled marijuana cigarette was tossed from the passenger side window. During the investigation, the officers seized marijuana cigarettes, loose weed in a plastic bag and drug paraphernalia. Through the investigation, the officers determined the driver, identified as Jason Karl Brandt, 20, of Leola, Pa., was allegedly selling marijuana. As a result, the OCPD officers seized Brandt’s vehicle, along with $900 in cash and a set of nunchuka, or nunchucks, as contraband. Brandt and his passenger, identified as Jason Kichline, 19, of West Chester, Pa., were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute, possession of a concealed dangerous weapon and pos- Wanted Man Found OCEAN CITY – A man wanted on drug and assault charge was apprehended without incident last Friday in West Ocean City. On Nov. 22 at approximately 8 a.m., a Worcester County Sheriff’s Office deputy went to The Rambler Hotel on Elm Street in West Ocean City and located Hakeem Salim McBride 23, of Pocomoke City. McBride was wanted by the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office on multiple charges. McBride was wanted on three separate warrants. One Circuit Court warrant for Non Support-Minor Child, one Circuit Court warrant for CDS possession with intent to distribute marijuana, CDS possession of marijuana 10 grams or more and CDS possession of paraphernalia and a District Court warrant for second degree assault, resisting arrest, reckless endangerment and failure to obey a lawful order. McBride was arrested and taken to the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office where he was processed. McBride was then taken to the District Court Commissioner’s Office. McBride was committed pending hearing and held at the Worcester County jail on all three warrants.
