Chamber Awards Announced
OCEAN PINES – The Ocean Pines Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and staff have announced 2013 Citizen of the Year and 2013 Business of the Year that will be recognized at the Annual Awards & Installation Banquet, which has been a yearly tradition for the Ocean Pines Chamber of Commerce for the past 14 years. The winners are Business of the Year, Atlantic Physical Therapy, Robert Hammond; Citizen of the Year, Kathy Jacobs of Brandywine Senior Living at Fenwick Island; and 2013 Non-Profit of the Year, Atlantic General Hospital Foundation. The award recipients will be celebrated on Oct. 18, from 6-9 p.m. The 2013 banquet will be a “Roaring 20’s” theme appropriately at the Ocean City/Ocean Pines Lions Club on Airport Rd. in West Ocean City. Division To Expand
SALISBURY – Sperry Van Ness – Miller Commercial Real Estate Managing Director Amy Miller has announced the expansion of the property management division within the company. SVN-Miller is now partnering with real estate agents and on-site property managers nationwide to provide their property management services throughout the country. “Our new business model allows us to reach outside of our local market area while providing the same level of customer service our regional clients are accustomed to,” Miller said. With this new business model comes the opportunity to expand the SVN-Miller management portfolio to include multi-family property management. SVN-Miller has partnered with SVN affiliate Bo Barron, CCIM, to manage Kingston Square, a 48-unit apartment complex in Owensboro, Ky., and Brentwood Apartments, a 12-unit complex also in Owensboro, Ky. “SVN-Miller has allowed me to build my property portfolio while I continue to focus on my career.
