OCEAN CITY There is yet another reason to visit Northside Park.
Thanks to the generosity of local property owners John and Peggy Reinholt,
a Little Free Library has been installed in the park by the Sammy Wilkerson
Memorial Gardens.
The Little Free Library will hold books for both children and adults, for
reading and exchange. In addition to donating the library, the couple will act
as stewards to it and will maintain the supply of books.
"My husband and I have owned a home in [in the area] for about six
years, and we just love Ocean City," said Peggy Reinholt. "One way we
were hoping to celebrate our upcoming 40th wedding anniversary is to `give
back' a little bit to this town that brings us such pleasure," she continued.
Ocean City Recreation and Parks Director Tom Shuster said, "The Little
Free Library movement is intended to promote literacy and the love of read-
ing as well as build a sense of community. These values are in line with the
vision of Ocean City Recreation and Parks and we are grateful for the gen-
erosity of Mr. and Mrs. Reinholt."
