About the Document
The
Partner Marketing Guide is a guide for partners wishing to sustain an integrated approach
to generate sales opportunities, create awareness and promote customer satisfaction. Whenever
possible, we strive to provide you with product and solution focused turnkey tools
and sponsorship campaigns, to generate additional VMware business.

The initial touch is often through telemarketing or email to facilitate activity in the sales funnel.
It can be followed up with a webinar, seminar, whitepaper, success story, etc. to help move the lead
further into the funnel to a sales call, visit or order. Along the way, we infuse VMware's and your
company's branding into our overall messaging to demonstrate our combined value proposition.
For
Premier and select Enterprise Partners, your VMware Partner Marketing Manager will work
with you to build strategic plans that make sense for your business. And for
Enterprise Partners,
your Partner Business Manager or Partner Sales Manager will assist you with ideas and introduce
you to the many tools and campaigns on Partner Central. In addition, the
VMware Partner
Marketing Bureau is at your disposal to answer any questions you may have on marketing tools
and programs.
The
Partner Marketing Guide provides the essential foundation on which sales at VMware are
enhanced and overall return on activities is improved. ROI is not tied to a specific activity,
but rather, has a cumulative effect when used in conjunction with your own marketing and sales
activities. Within your plans, our goal is to help you accomplish the following:
