Why do you not include chondroitin in your Joint Support Formula?
Glucosamine is normally supplied either on its own or in combination with chondroitin. However in
a recent review of the scientifi c research, our researchers found that chondroitin is not only a very
expensive, non-vegetarian ingredient, but is poorly utilised by our bodies. It is for this reason that we
have decided not to use this ingredient in our comprehensive Joint Support Formula. Nevertheless,
our research guided us to include MSM, manganese, Vitamin B3 and boron to support vegetarian
glucosamine actions.
Why do you include more magnesium than calcium in some formulae?
At Nutrigold we feel that calcium is a widely overused supplement that only has real
supplementary value when the diet is poor (this is rarely the case in the UK) or where the individual
is vulnerable to calcium defi ciency, e.g. females of menopausal age. Calcium is an aid for bone
mineralistion so in this context should always be use with magnesium (2:1 in favour of magnesium)
and with the correct balance of trace elements as found in the Actizorb
®
, Bone Support Formula and
Menopause Support Formula. We also strongly advise to supplement calcium in the natural organic
citrate form as inorganic calcium carbonate is just chalk so poorly absorbed and may cause unwanted
side effects with long-term supplementation.
Why does the Actizorb

Not everybody requires extra calcium so we offer the Actizorb
