250 guests made for one spectacular evening august 10, when
the montauk yacht club hosted marinemax's exclusive saturday
night sea ray Black and White Party.
a complimentary celebration for marinemax's many happy
sea ray owners, the sunset event attracted boaters from long
island, rhode island, new Jersey and connecticut to the swanky
montauk yacht club, which basks in the glow of the famous
montauk lighthouse.
attendees enjoyed music and prizes provided by marinemax
and mingled under the stars with other sea ray enthusiasts,
swapping tales of how they are "United by Water."
"it was terrific hearing so many enthusiasts share their sea
stories," said mathew Barbara, regional President of marinemax
northeast. "We love to use that `United by Water' slogan, but
when you get a few hundred boaters together and listen to them
talk about their experiences, you really start to understand why
this lifestyle is so thrilling."
the casual invitation-only get-together featured wines
by nobilo, the famed winery of new Zealand; handcrafted
montecristos from the tabacalera de Garcia cigar factory in the
Dominican republic; a cocktail reception around the montauk
yacht club's Barracuda Patio, overlooking lovely lake montauk;
and a spectacular buffet dinner prepared especially by the yacht
club's premier chefs.
"it was an awesome spread," matthew said. "We wanted to
thank our friends and sea ray enthusiasts from around the north-
east and give them a chance to soak up some history. montauk
was the perfect location for that, and the yacht club did a terrific
job."
the event was such a success that marinemax--the world's
largest sea ray dealer--is already planning its next montauk
event.
