Challenging oneself in all ways is a generations-old hallmark of a Prairie
education. Our extensive athletic program is not so much an outlet for
built-up energy as it is another important piece of the tapestry of what it
means to be a student here.
Our no-cut sports policy means everyone can compete in and enjoy
sports, or pursue activities they might otherwise not, whether soccer,
cross country, basketball, tennis, baseball, golf, volleyball, or track.
For our students, it's not only about the pleasure of competition or the
satisfaction that comes with victory. It's about doing things the right way
in all they do: taking care of their health, understanding the deepest sense
of fair play and integrity, and being motivated to achieve both personal
and collaborative success.
With young minds moving at faster and faster speeds,
athletics create a complementary opportunity for
achievement, physical health, and a passion to play.
