Vail, the largest ski resort in North America, is a paradise for skiers and boarders:
wide open bowls for off piste skiing, super fast lift service, perfectly groomed
runs, snowboard parks, mogul runs, trees and glades. The village of Vail has
always been an attraction in itself, with its high-end shops, a superb selection of
restaurants, bars and high-energy nightlife. Only a gondola ride away, Adventure
Ridge on Vail Mountain has become the place for families to play and dine. It
has an ice skating rink, tubing hill, snowmobile tours, kids mini snowmobiles,
a snowboard park and restaurants all operating well into the night. Kids love it!
The Golden Peak Children's Facility is the main children's ski school and daycare
centre catering for children from just 2 months old. This ever growing high class
ski resort will be offering new and improved lodging options in both Vail Village
and Vail Square (LionsHead) over the coming years.
The new "One" gondola was installed last season to commemorate the resorts
50th anniversary. With a speed of 1,200 feet per minute the gondola is one of the
fastest in the world and has proved to be a great addition to the ever growing
resort of Vail.
