Many cyclists who rode in Salisbury University’s 25th Sea Gull Century were pedaling for charity. In addition to their efforts, event organizers from the SU Foundation Inc. have donated $4,904.05 to Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County from the 2013 Century. Contributions have topped $124,000 over the years. Members of Quilters By The Sea quilt guild recently hosted a miniature fall and holiday quilt show for the residents of Compassion Cove at the Berlin Nursing Home. Colorful lap size quilts plus several touch and feel quilts made by guild members were presented to the Memory Care Unit Program manager for the residents.
