Students inducted into the Charles R. Jenkins Chapter of the National Honor Society at Worcester Preparatory School were honored at an assembly for students and parents. Showell Elementary School kindergarteners Gabby Haley and Ava Konyar received junior firefighter hats after learning about fire safety from local fire departments during Fire Prevention Week.
First-grade students at Ocean City Elementary conducted a math and science investigation using pumpkins. Above, Sarah Parypa, Kendra Tucker, Holden Bunting and Peter Snyder collect data to determine if the size of a pumpkin influences the number of seeds.
Students from Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic School recently participated in a Walk-a-Thon to raise funds for the school. A total of $20,000 was raised through the Walk-a-Thon and the annual Fall Family Festival that is sponsored by the school’s Home & School Association.
Stephen Decatur High School senior Andrew Bradshaw was recognized as a VIP of the Game on Nov. 1 at Seahawk Stadium between quarters of the varsity football game. Bradshaw was recognized for his outstanding contributions to the school and community and showing pride, achievement, respect and responsibility. He is pictured with teacher Amy Fenzel-Mergott and Principal Tom Zimmer.
