Coming up we have the interclub championship games being played as well as plenty of social days so it’s going to be a busy year. froM The presidenT Thanks goes to all our members for their help & attendance in the past Calendar year. A special thanks to all those who donated the wonderful prizes use for the raffles at our Christmas Party. The raffle callers Doreen & Noelene made the raffle a lot of fun also, thank you all & we look forward to a great 2014. Until next time, ‘keep on bowling’ Cecily White June Sinkovic President Publicity Officer This is the first report for the New Year & unfortunately there has not been much action as our greens have been under renovation & we have only one available for play at present, the other will be available early in February, so then it will be all systems go. We are very pleased to say our membership has increased quite significantly & this increase will greatly change the way we operated in the past these changes will only be for the best. We will be fielding 5 pennant teams this season the first time for several decades & we are approaching the games with a confidence that we has when we previously won a flag & it would be wonderful to see another flying proudly on our flagpole. The championship time has once again arrived, the fours are to begin on the Saturday 8 February or before & by the time they are completed expect to see a lot of new names on our honorboards. This year the championship games will be played in the mornings & afternoons which is quite a change from the past. The tournament schedule has been set, so keep your eyes on the notice boards for the dates of the events, remember they are only available to financial members & are drawn out of the hat, so best of luck in the games & may you enjoy the games & share in the prizes. On behalf of myself & the committee I wish you a very healthy, happy & prosperous New Year & may you keep enjoying the wonderful game of Lawn Bowls.
