Working Together to Safeguard Children
Sophie Brown Pre-School Practitioner
"From when I used to help my mother childmind, I have always found
working with children enjoyable and rewarding.

Over the last couple of years I have had a variety of experiences
working with children of different ages and abilities. For two years I
volunteered at a

Syndrome, which I found a worthwhile, productive experience. I have
completed work experience at key stage 1 & 2 level. In my spare time I have a
number of families I babysit for.

As well as working with

Laura Carrington Pre-School Practitioner

"I have worked with children since I was seventeen and qualified to
NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education in 2004. In my roles previously
to joining Foundations, I helped to set up and run an after school club
and holiday club in Frimley.

After spending two and a half years working with older children, I
wanted to return to working with pre-school age children and spent some time
working in a Day Nursery as a Deputy Manager.

I enjoy partaking in lots of different sports including, badminton, archery and
football, and have recently completed my Level 1 FA Football Coaching Award.

When I'm not with my two boys, I enjoy making birthday cakes and face painting at
birthday parties and school fairs.

I am currently studying for my degree in Early Years and I'm excited to be part of the
team at Foundations."
