The KSPRS aims primarily to enhance academic training and the development of the plastic surgical skills of its Korean members while contributing to the broader international community of plastic surgeons through initiatives such as its English-language journal, Archives of Plastic Surgery. KSPRS is the leading plastic surgical society in Asia, and in this role, it has taken the lead in developing collaborations with other related plastic surgical societies and disseminating information on the procedures popular among Asian patients. In recent years, members of KSPRS have been innovating aesthetic plastic surgical skills such as blepharoplasty, rhinoplasty, facial contouring surgery with jaw surgery, breast augmentation and reduction, and liposuction. Likewise, reconstructive plastic surgical strategies such as supermicrosurgery, hand surgery, and cleft and craniofacial surgery have been revolutionized by a number of Korean plastic surgeons. Because further innovation in all these areas would be maximized through collaboration with the plastic surgical associations of other nations, we see the invitation from ASPS to be the 2013 guest nation as a great opportunity. We wish to extend our sincere invitation to the other nations represented at this ASPS meeting to share each other's knowledge and cooperate more closely through joint events, publications, and other initiatives. of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons 2013 Honored Guest Nation: South Korea secretary general: Dr. kyung s. koh founded in 1966 |
