Opening night of Plastic Surgery The Meeting
will never be the same. This charitable dinner and gala to benefit
San Diego-based Fresh Start Surgical Gifts and The Plastic Surgery
Foundation. The two organizations have joined forces to ensure
that children with congenital birth defects receive the surgical
care they need. Your ticket includes dinner, a live auction, and the
music of Sheryl Crow who will be joined by her band to rock The
USS Midway, all for the benefit of kids.

This day-long program provides medical students the opportunity
to learn about the plastic surgery specialty directly from residents,
Program Directors, and other field leaders. Medical students gain
practical knowledge about the different types of training program
pathways; what to ask about when choosing a training program;
an inside look at life as a plastic surgery resident; plastic surgery
practice types; and the opportunity to have questions answered
about getting started in a career as a plastic surgeon.

The ASPS Young Plastic Surgeons (YPS) is an opportunity for
networking, advocacy, and leadership development for young
plastic surgeons.
This workshop and luncheon provides tips to help participants
communicate effectively face-to-face, in small or large groups.
The discussion will involve not only what you say but how you say
it, your body language, and your use of physical space. Participants
will be provided with practical tips to develop and refine their com-
munication skills in an interactive, hands-on and engaging format.
