Cecilia Lotito ANNAPOLIS – On May 2, 2013, Cecilia Lotito, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, sister and aunt, passed away peacefully, surrounded by love from those near and far. Born in Edgeley, N.D. to Thomas and Anna Glowka and raised in Fargo, she loved the years of farm life that she shared with her parents and siblings. After losing her daughter Dolores at the age of two, Cecilia made her way to Montana where she began a series of life experiences not the least of which was the time she devoted to our country in the United States Army. During her years of service, she was stationed in France, Switzerland, Germany, Ft. Dix, N.J. and Obituaries finally the Pentagon. She earned an American Service Medal, a European-African- Middle Eastern Service Medal, a World War II Victory Medal, a Good Conduct medal and a WAAC Service Ribbon. She was a proud veteran and spoke of her time in the Army with deep CECILIA affection and LOTITO gratitude. After departing from the Army, she embraced civilian life in the DC Metro area where she met the love of her life, Nicholas A. Lotito. Both “second timers”, the pair built a beautiful life together. Cecilia created a wonderful home and atmosphere for her new family which included her step-sons, Michael A. and Raymond J. Lotito. Retirement afforded Cecilia the opportunity to focus on being a doting grandmother to Jennifer L. Giandomenico (Lotito) and Joseph A. Lotito. They were her pride and joy and she loved them as her own. They made many wonderful memories together, particularly when she and her husband relocated to Ocean City, Md. Vacations, trips to the beach and the pool became a mainstay for her, and she loved every minute. Following her husband’s death in June of 2000, Cecilia eventually relocated to the Annapolis area where she enjoyed senior living at Sunrise of Severna Park and FutureCare Chesapeake. She found new life in becoming a greatgrandparent and felt immense joy in spending time with her new little loves Domenic and Amelia. Even well into her 90s, Cecilia continued to make new friends, and live life to its fullest. All of those that knew her learned much about life and love and cooking. She was always kind and always a lady. She had a deep faith and a huge heart. She will be dearly missed.
