BELCAMPO LODGE BELIZE [Punta Gorda, Belize]
Because the southern part of Belize has little tourism and is visited by few anglers, not many people are aware of the area’s phenomenal fishing and eco-tourism activities. Perched atop a jungle hill-top with a spectacular view of the Maya Divide, Guatemala, and the Caribbean Sea, Belcampo Lodge is arguably the most unique resort in all of Southern Belize. Belcampo is the ideal location for couples, families and anglers looking to combine a fishing trip with great non-angling activities and a high-end jungle resort experience. The food, service, accommodations, amenities and location are all incredible, making this one of the nicest “fishing” lodges in the entire Caribbean. Along with a great line-up of non-angling eco-activities, Belcampo features a first-rate fishing program that utilizes a number of experienced permit guides from the Punta Gorda area. If you’re looking for a trip with plenty of non-angling activities, high-end accommodations, access to the Belizean mainland, and the ability to fish the flats for permit, then this is a great option. 7 night / 6 fishing day packages start at $3,387.50 per person.

TURNEFFE FLATS [Turneffe Atoll, Belize]
Located 30 miles off the coast of mainland Belize, Turneffe Atoll has been recognized for decades as one of the top saltwater flats destinations in the world. It is the largest atoll in the Western Hemisphere, and one of the most untouched and undeveloped eco-systems in all of Central America. Within this pristine atoll environment, Turneffe Flats Lodge is strategically located to take advantage of more than 250 square miles of flats, reefs, and lagoons as well as the bonefish, permit, tarpon, and other species that call this area home. One of our favorite operations in the Caribbean, Yellow Dog is proud to be Turneffe Flats’ largest booking agent, and we send so many people here with good reason. The lodge is ideal for anglers of all skill levels and the fishing is consistently good throughout the year. There are also a large number of options for non-anglers, including a full PADI dive and snorkel center and the “Atoll Adventures” package. Spacious, air-conditioned guest rooms are located directly on the beach, offering panoramic views of the nearby reef. There are also two spacious villas – the Garden and the Reef – that are perfect for families or small groups of friends. The social center for Turneffe Flats is the spacious, air-conditioned main lodge. A pre-dinner gathering in the lodge for hors d’oeuvres and refreshments is customary, and the screened verandah is a wonderful place to enjoy the tropical evening with new and old friends. In front of the main lodge building is the large deck area and a swimming pool, ideal for non-anglers as well as fishermen looking to relax after a day on the water. The lodge itself is also surrounded by a network of huge “home flats,” offering immediate access to wade fishing on your own before and after each day of guided fishing. This is far and away the finest option in Belize for anglers that love to wade fish. 7 night / 6 fishing day packages (double occupancy) start at $3,703.00 per person.
BELIZE RIVER LODGE [Belize City, Belize]
In business for over 55 years, Belize River Lodge offers a first-rate fishing program, a team of excellent guides, and easy access to what many feel are the best waters for tarpon found anywhere in the Caribbean. Combined with great fishing for bonefish, permit, snook, barracuda and more, this is a great option for those seeking a diversity of species – from first-timers to the most experienced saltwater anglers. Conveniently located on the Belize mainland only minutes from the International Airport, the lodge sits directly on the banks of the Olde Belize River. From the lodge, anglers can quickly access the river, the coastal inlet areas, and the offshore cayes and flats. Accommodation and room options all feature A/C and private baths. Wellsuited to anglers looking for a quieter, more intimate lodge setting, this is a great option for excellent tarpon action combined with a great diversity of other species. 7 night / 6 fishing day packages $3,668.00 per person.
LONG CAYE ISLAND LODGE [Long Caye, Belize]
Owned and operated by Belize River Lodge, this is a small, outpost-lodge operation that is located on the undeveloped island of Long Caye in Central Belize. For years, Long Caye has been one of our very favorite fishing areas in Belize – a spot that we always loved for impressive numbers of bonefish, large permit, and seriously large tarpon! Due to the prime location of this lodge, anglers can fish these waters earlier in the morning and much later into the evening without the long runs associated with the more distant lodges throughout the region. This is a great option for those that are focused on hard-core fishing with long days on the water. This small, six-person operation overlooks the barrier reef and features three double occupancy bedrooms and a shared bath for the lodge. Combination packages can also be arranged that include several days at B.R.L.’s main lodge combined with days at the Island Lodge. 7 night / 6 fishing day packages (double occupancy) $3,302.00 per person based on a group of six.
