tour the vineyards
Long Island's North Fork is wine country,
with 29 wineries open to the public. This year
Kontokosta Winery opens in Greenport at
825 North Road. It is situated on 62 acres and
with over a quarter-mile of breathtaking Long
Island sound waterfront. Tastings are held in
the tasting room or outside on a waterside

Another waterfront winery is located just
west of Greenport in nearby Southold. The
Old Field, established in 1974 is a family
owned and operated vineyard with fourth and
fi fth generation family members making the
wine and working the tasting room. theold-

Duck Walk's Southold winery was voted one
of 2013's Best of Long Island At 44535 Main
Rd., Southold, Duck Walk is an easy drive
from Greenport. Founded in 1994, Duck Walk
