Group Facilitator Training

Prerequisites: Certification as a Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy Practitioner
Provides Phoenix Rising Practitioners with the skills and knowledge to organize, market and
facilitate eight-week group programs focused on helping people cope with stress and stress-
related symptoms. Based on Michael Lee's book,
Turn Stress Into Bliss
, the program follows a
progressive, thematic approach to awareness, choice and change.
Training includes eight weeks of home-based, pre-residency experiential learning, a twelve-day
residential intensive and a six-month practicum in your community with individual and group
mentoring. Successful facilitation of an eight-week group is required for certification.
Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy groups have changed participants' relationship to stress and
dramatically reduced stress-related physical and emotional symptoms. This multi-faceted
approach adapts well to serve a variety of medical, professional and community settings.
· Effective for a broad spectrum of participants coping with stress or illnesses such as
cancer, heart disease, high blood pressure or addictions
· Can be offered through health institutions, educational organizations and human
resources departments of corporations
Therapeutic Mentoring
Duration: 22 hour residency, 6 month practicum * Tuition: $2,995
Prerequisites: Successful completion of Level 3, Group Facilitator Training and
200-Hour Yoga Teacher Certification, or equivalent experience.
Designed to support practitioners in further discerning the essence of the Phoenix Rising
approach in regard to facilitating one-on-one sessions with clients through post-session
monitoring. Such mentoring builds the life skills of profound presence, self awareness, witness
consciousness, spirituality and compassion as essential elements of transformation in the midst
of daily life.
Traditional PRYT session work combined with the kind of mentoring received in Level 3,
creates new ways to empower clients toward self realization. Students will draw on their varied
backgrounds, integrating past learning with the Phoenix Rising process. Areas of study include:
· Elements of PRYT mentoring with regard to asana, meditation, spiritual practice,
yogic self care and self mentoring
· Expanded ethics and boundaries of the mentor/client relationship
· Integration of traditional session work and therapeutic mentoring
· Development of broader and deeper listening skills that support the cycle of
awareness, acceptance and adjustment
· Creating and implementing thematic approaches in the mentoring process
