Introduction to Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy Training
There are myriad options available to those wishing to explore a career in yoga therapy.
If you are drawn to the body centered, client driven format of Phoenix Rising, our yoga
therapy practitioner track is for you. Designed to support personal and professional
growth, the Phoenix Rising dual process approach allows participants to learn through
experiencing the work as a giver and a receiver as well as delving into self-exploration,
all the while making significant life connections. The transformative power of this process
allows Level 3 participants the ability to train for a career as a yoga therapist while
providing an opportunity for life changing awareness and action.
What is Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy?
Naomi
*
had been experiencing low-grade dizziness, nausea and light-headedness off
and on for several weeks and had exhausted all available resources in her quest for
healing. It was then Naomi decided to follow up on the recommendation of a friend
who had experienced transformation in a Phoenix Rising session. Naomi's experience
of Phoenix Rising sessions provided insight into connecting how she was "spinning out
of control" at work and in relationship. Through the open, supportive and empowering
structure of the sessions and the skillful support of her practitioner, Naomi was able to
connect with her inner voice and take steps toward personal empowerment and freedom
from her symptoms. The life connections Naomi found helped her to recognize choices
she had been making that were not supporting her. Naomi credits her Phoenix Rising
practitioner, but expresses the most gratitude to her body: "All I had to do was learn how
to listen; my body was speaking to me and showing me the way."
Imagine what your body may want you to hear . . . .

I came (to Level One) needing clarity, needing rest, needing insight, needing to breath
deeply and fully. I ended my four days of Level One with vision, energy and breath. I would
recommend this experience for anyone seeking to know themselves better or hoping to
learn to bring the gift of yoga therapy to others.
