Fuel fraud poses a significant threat to legitimate
businesses, says HM Revenue and Customs. The rake-
off funds other criminal activities and robs local
communities of tax revenue that would fund essential
services. Live demonstrations of fuel testing techniques
drew a stream of visitors to the HMRC stand. HMRC had
a road fuel testing van, samples of counterfeit fuel and
officers on stand to answer questions.

Loadsfortankers.com, a new web based portal
marrying tanker hauliers and load placers in a low cost
`pay as you go' service. It is the brainchild of Chris
Dalton, MD of Lateu Logistics, who spotted that while
you can readily call on services to get palletised loads
delivered, finding tankers to deliver loads was less easy.
