he inaugural bcu Coffs TRI multisport festival
was a huge success in 2013, attracting more
than 600 competitors. event organisers village
Sports are expecting the 2014 event to sell out
in record time.
the bcu Coffs TRI weekend of events ­ on 1 and 2
March 2014 ­ includes an `enticer tri' (375m swim/10km
cycle/2.5km run) and includes races for children aged
5­14 years on the Saturday, with the headline olympic-
distance triathlon (1.5km swim/40km cycle/10km run)
on the Sunday. this event has something for everyone,
regardless of age, ability or level of fitness.

event director Mick Maley said that events such as the
bcu Coffs Tri could not run without the support
from the local community. "We are delighted to have the
C.ex group on board again as a major sponsor," he said.
"Without their generous financial support and help from
their dedicated volunteers, the event would not be the
success that it is."
C.ex group is the sponsor of the 10km run leg of the
olympic Distance triathlon. the C.ex group will notch up
its second year of involvement in 2014 and registrations
bcu Coffs TRI teams up
with the C.ex Group
will again be held at C.ex Coffs on Friday 28 February. the
mean, green, C.ex Community Crew were a major force
on the run leg in 2013, handing out water to the athletes,
and will be helping out again in 2014.
The course
the spectacular open-water swim, considered one of the
most beautiful in the country, is held inside the protected
pristine harbour with spectators getting a birds-eye view
from the jetty. the two-lap bike course is fast yet challeng-
ing on a closed road out to toormina and back to the har-
bour; and the run comprises two laps along the beautiful
harbour foreshores incorporating the iconic Coffs Jetty.
village Sports is offering a total prize purse of $4500
for open male and female category placegetters.
