Dancing with
the Stars
his must see event is now in its fourth
year and the C.ex group is proud to be
an ongoing major sponsor. Our very own
C.ex Group Sports Manager has joined
forces with the team at Pacific Dance
Studio under the learned eye of Principal Carol Myers
and will be partnered by Julie Potts. Tony, who has
never danced previously said he is certainly beyond
the boundaries of his "comfort zone" but couldn't resist
being involved due to the events admirable cause.
Nine high profile Coffs Coast business people have
teamed up with nine professional dancers from the
Coffs Coast to perform one dance on Saturday 1st
February. The dance styles include rock and roll, cha
cha, swing, disco, lindy hop, musical theatre and zouk.
With dance schools such as Pacific Dance Centre,
Razzle Dazzle Rockers, Woolgoolga Dance Studio
and So Dance Studios performing, it's going to be a
spectacular night!
On the night the dance couples will be competing for
the Judges Choice Award, judged by an expert panel

of judges, as well as competing for the People's Choice
Award, as voted by the audience. There will also be a
prize for the `star' that raises the most money before the
event. The stars have been busily raising funds through
various fundraising events including movie nights, a
garden party, barefoot bowls, and a Race Day.
There will also be a fantastic auction on the night.
Local jeweler, Parrys Jewellers, have donated a pendant
they have hand made especially for the event. Each year
they donate a gorgeous piece of jewellery so we can't
wait to see this year's masterpiece! Barbara Wenman,
from La Fleur D'Alyse, has donated a full day luxury spa
package for two people valued at $2,500 and Q1 Resort
& Spa on the Gold Coast have donated five nights in a
two bedroom ocean view room.
So get in quick and secure your ticket to the event so
you don't miss out on a great night. It is on Saturday 1
February, doors open at 7pm for a 7.45pm start. Tickets
are $55 each and are selling fast. So come to C.ex Coffs
for dinner first and then settle in for a great show!
