Hikvision launches low-light network cameras
Hangzhou, China
Hikvision
is releasing a new series
of low-light network cameras the
X55 series that are designed
to achieve meticulous detail in
extreme dark environments.
There are four models in the
series: the DS-2CD755F-E(I)
(Z) indoor dome camera, DS-
2CD7255F-E(I)Z(H) outdoor
dome camera, DS-2CD855F-E
network box camera and DS-
2CD8255F-EI(Z) bullet camera.
Each offers super low light technol-
ogy (up to 0.05 lux/f1.2, with AGC
on), and boasts full high-definition
output and efficient noise reduction
technology (3D DNR).
"We created this series of cam-
eras to fill a niche in the market.
Currently, the most advanced
security cameras typically fail to
reach their potential in very dark
conditions. With the X55 series,
we resolve this issue and top it off
with world-class camera resolu-
tion," said Keen Yao, International
Marketing Director of Hikvision.
The super low-light capability is
the hallmark of the X55 series and
according to Hikvision, this makes
the range ahead of most other low
light cameras on the market. With
a minimum illumination of 0.05
lux @ F1.2, these cameras have a
level of sensitivity that allows users
to discern colours, shapes, sizes, and
of course movements in near com-
plete darkness. Coupled with a wide
range, some of the most meticulous
detail can be brought to life and
captured with extreme clarity.
Each of the models in the
series captures images of up to 2
megapixels and provides full HD
1080p real-time video recording.
The DS-2CD8255F-EI(Z) and
DS-2CD7255F-E(I)Z(H) both
incorporate a weather proof rating
of IP66 and operate effectively in a
wide range of weather conditions,
including a temperature range of
-10°C to 60°C (14°F to 140°F)
and humidity of up to 90%.
The DS-2CD8255F-EI(Z)
bullet camera, DS-2CD755F-E(I)
(Z) indoor dome camera and
DS-2CD7255F-E(I)Z(H) outdoor
dome camera all offer optional
infrared LEDs and provide an IR
range of up to 30m (98.4 feet),
as well as a motorised vari-focal
lens that facilitates quick and easy
lens installation. In addition, the
DS-2CD7255F-E(I)Z(H) also
includes a built-in fan and heater.
These cameras can be incor-
porated into a larger networked
surveillance system where alarms
are triggered automatically in the
event of a security breach. Among
the many networking features, net-
work connection errors and IP ad-
dress conflict alerts allow users to
quickly resolve potential network-
ing issues to ensure the maximum
uptime in the system. "In today's
context, we cannot afford to have
any downtime in security. It only
takes a minute or two for a breach
to occur," commented Keen.

Lilin Imegapro L series ONVIF HD IP cameras
Milton Keynes, Bedfordshire (UK)
Lilin
are launcing the Imegapro
L series, a new range of HD IP
cameras that offer 1080P record-
ing at 15FPS with POE, day/night
switching, privacy masking, mo-
tion detection WDR, and Sense
Up+ technology.
With 8 models variants start-
ing at a competitive price point,
the company believes there is no
longer a need to pay a premium for
HD quality. Variants include van-
dal-resistant domes, box cameras,
external IR cameras, mini-domes
and low profile mini-domes.
Every camera in the L series has
Sense Up+ built in, a unique tech-
nology from Lilin that is designed
to deliver clear video in low light
conditions. Utilising intelligent
image signal processing, AGC
control and 3D noise reduction,
the combination successfully deliv-
ers the ultimate low light image
without motion blur.
Pair any camera from the L
series with Lilin's standalone NVR,
and the resulting HD IP system
not only provides an exceptional
user experience, it is also com-
pletely affordable and generally
costing no more than an analogue
system. With a built in installation
wizard, setting up the system is
simple. WS Discovery will locate
all IP cameras on the network and
generate a snapshot image of each
channel, helping with identifica-
tion and greatly speeding up com-
missioning.
Every IP camera is shipped
with free CMX central manage-
ment software that offers a range
of functions including EPOS
connectivity and database search-
ing. The software enables users to
view, record and manage up to 36
channels of video recordings com-
pletely free, without any attached
license fees.
The entire L series is ONVIF
compatible and claiming an
industry coup as the first IP manu-
facturer in the world to introduce
ONVIF compliant products, Lilin
has since continued to support
the protocol; every IP camera
produced is ONVIF compatible
and their products now also work
in conjunction with many leading
VMS software platforms.
