Dear Avid Traveler, One of our own Cruise Holidays executives recently quipped, “The Caribbean may be the cruise industry’s reigning king or queen, but Europe is closest to the hearts of cruising’s most loyal subjects!” If you’ve ever traveled to Europe, you may understand why. If it’s something you haven’t considered, maybe it’s time, and this edition of Compass will help shed light on the culture, beauty and charm of Europe. Italy ranks extremely high among cruisers as a bucket list destination, with Venice a perennial favorite. That’s why you may take delight in following along as a couple celebrates a milestone anniversary in the City of Water. They top it off with a luxury cruise through the Adriatic Sea. If you’re dazzled by nature, then a cruise through the Norwegian fjords is a can’t-miss experience. In our article on the Queen Elizabeth’s voyage through this pristine area of the world, you can practically feel the chill in the air – but if you go, remember that you’ll be embraced warmly by the creature comforts of this revered ship. Or, if you’re always the first in your circle of friends to visit coveted destinations, then maybe it’s time to head to Europe’s far east – Turkey – and we have some amazing suggestions on how to enjoy a Turkish vacation. Soar through the sky in a hot air balloon, visit one of the world’s oldest and largest markets, or visit entire underground cave cities built long ago. When you couple the cost of a European cruise, which is virtually an all-inclusive vacation, along with the airfare, you are looking at a vacation value that far exceeds what travelers could expect 20 years ago. Cruise Holidays is also able to offer advice to help you attain more value on your vacation investment – possibly substantially more than you ever expected. It doesn’t look like the demand for European travel is going to ease any time soon. The only question that may remain is, when will you go? Sincerely, Cruise Holidays
