How to register... ...for small business classes Registering for any of the Small Business classes (pages 16-21) is easy. Pre-registration is required. Or, simply call 541-994-4166 during business hours. ...for credit classes Never gone to college? Just a little rusty? No problem! In four easy steps, you will be on your way to taking credit classes: 1) take the college placement test Call 541-867-8501 (Central Campus) or 541-996-6222 (North Campus) to schedule an appointment to take the COMPASS college placement test to discover which reading, writing and math courses are the best match for your academic level. After the COMPASS test, you will schedule an appointment to attend a New Student Orientation/ Advising Session. 2) transfer students If you have previous college credit, call 541-867-8501 to schedule an individual appointment with an academic advisor. 3) attend a new student orientation/advising session (Required for all new credit students.) At the academic orientation you will: • be advised for your first term class schedule • learn about OCCC policies, term deadlines, transfer and career technical programs • learn to read the class schedule and catalog and be cleared to register • learn about different options to consider when determining how to pay for college 4) register Register for the classes you selected at your new-student orientation/ advising session. Registration is completed online. Login to your myOCCC account to begin. Here’s how to do it: step 1. registration To register online: Go to www.oregoncoastcc.org At the top of the page, click on “Prospective Students.” On the drop-down, menu choose “non-credit admission.” To register by mail, or in person: Complete the registration form located on page 9, or use the one available online at www.oregoncoastcc.org. step 2. submit your form There are three ways to submit your completed form: A) You may drop off your completed form at any OCCC campus B) Mail with payment to: 3788 SE High School Drive, Lincoln City, OR 97367 C) Submit online, at oregoncoastcc.org. step 3. show up for your class Once you have registered, you may attend your class, held at one of the various locations listed in this publication. prices, fees, and refunds for community education / small business classes The price for non-credit classes varies with each class (see individual class listings for details). Some courses may require additional fees for materials, which are also listed in the class description. payment The college accepts all traditional forms of payment including cash, checks, MasterCard, VISA, Discover and debit cards. refunds If the college cancels a class, students are entitled to a full refund of tuition and applicable fees. Students who drop a class, or classes, will be issued a refund based on the following criteria: ClaSS lEngth DroP DEaDlinE 3 to 12 weeks Before second class meeting Less than 2 weeks Prior to the first class meeting No refunds will be provided for withdrawals or drops after the drop deadlines shown above. community education courses Community Education courses are available to students ages 16 and older, unless otherwise stated, who are interested in pursuing a new hobby or pastime. Community Education provides fun classes which include special, personal, professional, hobby, and recreational interests.
