JoAnne Sutton Quillin
BERLIN JoAnne Sutton Quillin,
age 65, died Thursday, Jan. 14,
2014, at Peninsula Regional Medi-
cal Center in Salisbury.
Born in Baltimore, she was the
daughter of the late Joseph A. Sut-
ton and Bertha Mae Rohm Sutton
Aydelotte. She was also preceded
in death by her step
father John Aydel-
otte. She is survived by
her husband, Horace
"Skip" Quillin, former-
ly of Davis Ice and
Coal and a retired di-
rector at Calvin B.
Taylor Bank. She is
also survived by her daughter, Jodi
Bounds Danzi, and her husband,
Rick Danzi, of Piney Island in Bish-
opville; a sister, Mary Jo Mathos
and her husband, Dave, of Salis-
bury; a nephew, Joseph McCarthy;
a niece, Katie McCarthy; and a half-
brother, John Aydelotte of Parsons-
burg. Quillin had been a clerk-treasurer
for the Town of Berlin, had owned
and operated the Added Touch
Frame Shop in Berlin, was an asso-
ciate with Davis Ice and Coal, was a
member of Stevenson United Meth-
odist Church and had been a book-
keeper and real estate appraiser.
Cremation followed her death. A
memorial service will be announced
at a future date. Memorial donations

Berlin, Md. 21811, or to the Multiple
Sclerosis Society, Maryland Chap-
ter, 2219 York Rd., Suite 302,

Marion Grimes
OCEAN PINES Marion "Jim"
Grimes, 86, of Ocean Pines, died
Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at Atlantic
General Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Howard
County, Md., she
was the daughter of
the late Alfred Ed-
ward Giddings, Mary
Hobbs Giddings and
stepmother, Helen
Giddings.
She was a devot-
ed mother, grandmother and mem-
ber of the Joshua House Ministries
in Gumboro, Del.
In addition to her parents and
stepmother, she was preceded in
death by her husband, Cissel C.
Grimes; two brothers, Leroy Gid-
dings and George Giddings; and a
sister, Frances "Pete" Grimes.
She is survived by her three chil-
dren and their spouses, William and
Lisa Grimes of Delmar, Barbara and
Shimon Dahan of Ocean Pines and
Greg and Terri Grimes of Louisville,
Ky.; two grandsons; four great-
grandchildren; a brother, Charles
"Bubby" Giddings; a sister, Mary
"Mike" Boyce; and several nieces
and nephews.
Services were held at Holloway
Funeral Home in Salisbury. Inter-
ment followed at Springhill Memory
Gardens in Hebron. Pastor Chuck
Reynolds officiated.

Robert D. Korb
BERLIN Robert D. "Bob" Korb
Sr., 67, of Manteo, N.C., beloved
husband of Mary Fay Kemp, passed
away peacefully on Saturday, Jan.
18, 2014, at his home.
Born in Baltimore, Robert was
the son of the late Berner and Au-
drey O'Neal Korb. He was also pre-
ceded in death by his grandson,
Robert Korb, III.
Bob was a member of the Mount
Carmel United Methodist Church,
the Manteo Masonic Lodge, an
amateur radio operator "K4ORB"
and a retired volun-
teer firefighter.
Bob was a com-
passionate man who
enjoyed helping oth-
ers, living by the
ocean and tinkering
with electronics.
Bob is survived by
and was extremely loving and proud
of his three children and two step-
children, Kevin Korb and his wife,
Debbie, of Stevensville, Md., Robert
Korb Jr. and his fiancé, Angela
Gainer, of Salisbury, Courtney
Brassell and her husband, Jim, of
Singapore, Jamie Daniels and his
wife, Nadine, of Manteo and Mary
Avery Paradine of Manteo; and his
grandchildren, Kassidy and Kristo-
pher Korb, Connor Brassell, Logan
and Ainsley Daniels. He is also sur-
vived by his sister, Susan Resav-
age, and brother, William Korb, of
Glen Burnie, Md., as well as his
many loving aunts, uncles, nieces,
nephew and other friends.
A celebration of life for Bob will
be held on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014,
at 2 p.m. at the Mount Carmel Unit-
ed Methodist Church at 6658 Hwy
64, Manns Harbor, N.C. 27953. In
lieu of flowers, memorial contribu-
tions may be made in Bob's name
to the Outer Banks S.P.C.A. at P.O.
Box 2477, Manteo, N.C. 27954 or to
the Mount Carmel church.
Billy Greene Smith
BERLIN Billy Greene (B.G.)
Smith, 78, of Berlin went home to be
with the Lord on Jan. 19, 2014.
He was born Sept. 7, 1935, in
Sylacauga, Ala., to the late John
Reid and Lillian Greene Smith. At a
very early age, the family moved to
Dorchester County where he grew
up in the Hurlock area and was
proud to claim Puckum as home. He
