The late Rev. David A. Dingwall of St. Paul’s by the Sea Episcopal Church is pictured receiving a check last month for $750 for Shepherd’s Crook food pantry and the Noel Christmas dinner from Joanne Kirby of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians.
Howard Baldwin Jr. of Gold’s Gym recently presented a check for the United Christmas Spirit Campaign. He is donating $500 from the gym and another $1,000 that a friend is giving him for the campaign with the stipulation that he will run the Pittsburgh marathon in May. The Ocean City Museum Society announced the loan of a rare United States Life-Saving Service tally board circa 1880s to the Indian River LifeSaving Station Museum, which is part of Delaware State Parks. The tally board was donated to the Ocean City Museum Society by Carl Schmidlapp III and is from the Parramore Island Life-Saving Station. It is now on exhibit at the Indian River Station as part of a Life-Saving Service exhibit. The Ocean City Lions Club presented a check for $1,000 to Stephen Decatur High School’s NJROTC at a recent dinner meeting.
