ASC&D Vice President of Life & Health. “Having an independent insurance agent to advise you will be even more important than ever. The complexities that Obamacare brings to the buying decision is significant.” ASC&D is collaborating with other organizations to deliver a community education series aimed at helping consumers understand their options for health insurance. Representatives from area health systems including Atlantic General Hospital, Peninsula Regional Medical Center and Three Lower Counties Community Services, will be on hand to provide information on primary care services in the region and to provide valuable community education to residents. Insurance carriers participating on the exchange such as CareFirst will also be present during the event to answer questions for consumers. The community education events will provide attendees with a wide range of information. Pre-registration is encouraged, however walkins are welcome. Those that pre-register will receive the Obamacare Toolkit in advance of the event to help them gather the information needed to make educated decisions related to their health plans when they get to talk with an agent. The events include Oct. 9 at 9 a.m.-noon at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center in Salisbury; Oct. 21, 48 p.m. at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center in Salisbury; and Oct. 22, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. at the Ocean City Convention Center. You can also register by calling 410-835-2000. “Health insurance may be changing but our goal is the same,” said Laura Deeley Bren, ASC&D’s President. “Our agents make the complex simple and are here to support families and businesses within the community.” Top Producers Named BETHANY BEACH – ResortQuest Real Estate has announced the August 2013 top producers in its southeast Sussex County, Del. locations.
