The Arthur W. Perdue Foundation, the charitable giving arm of Perdue Farms, has made a $150,000 commitment to the Wor-Wic Community College “Providing For Today While Ensuring Tomorrow” fundraising campaign. Kiwanian Tim Collins, who is the liaison to Cub Pack #480, and his son, T.J., recently talked to the the Kiwanis Club of Greater Ocean Pines Ocean City about their experiences at the National Jamboree held in July at the new Bechtel Summit Reserve in West Virginia. The club sponsors the pack.
United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore recently received a contribution of $600 from the Rotary Club of Salisbury to support the Imagination Library program, which supplies free, home-delivered books to children in the community from birth to age 5. Above, United Way Assistant Director Amy Luppens and Executive Director Kathleen Mommé accept the contribution from George Whitehead, president of the Rotary Club of Salisbury.
