OCEAN CITY – A local man has been charged with multiple counts of indecent exposure after several reported incidents in north Ocean City over the last few weeks. Around 11:45 p.m. on Monday, Ocean City Police responded to the area of Jamestown Road for a reported indecent exposure case involving a male exposing himself in a vehicle. According to a police source, the most delicate way to describe the suspect’s actions would be that he was pleasuring himself. ERIK T. ROSADO OCPD officers had responded to the area on previous occasions for similar complaints, but in each of those cases, the suspect had left the area before police arrived. On Monday, however, OCPD officers arrived in the area and located the suspect, later identified as Erik T. Rosado, 28, of Ocean City, who was still seated in his vehicle. Investigators determined Rosado was allegedly the person who had been seen by victims in his vehicle and ex-
posing himself to passersby. Ocean City Police located two victims who positively identified Rosado as the suspect who had exposed himself on at least three previous occasions over the past two weeks. After being interviewed by detectives, Rosado was charged with four counts of indecent exposure. As of late Wednesday, Rosado was in custody at the Ocean City Public Safety Building awaiting an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner. The OCPD is urging anyone who may have been the victim of a similar incident in the Jamestown Road area to contact the Criminal Investigation Division and Detective Nick Simpson at 410-520-5349.

OCEAN CITY – A Delaware man is being held on a fugitive warrant this week after fleeing from Ocean City Police on foot during a routine traffic stop of a car reported stolen in New York City and then running into the marsh behind a shopping center before ultimately getting nabbed. Around 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Ocean City Police pulled over a vehicle on Coastal Highway near 44th Street for a seat belt violation. As OCPD officers approached the vehicle, the driver, identified as Ramone Shy, 25, of Wilmington, fled on foot and ran west into the marsh behind the 45th Street Shopping Village. OCPD officers were able to detain Shy after a short pursuit. During the initial investigation, OCPD officers located a black backpack that Shy had alleg- RAMONE SHY edly thrown into the marsh during the brief foot pursuit. The backpack contained drug paraphernalia. In addition, police found marijuana in the vehicle, which they later learned had been reported stolen by the New York City Police Department. Ocean City Police have charged Shy locally with various counts related to the possession of the stolen vehicle, possession of marijuana and paraphernalia and nine traffic citations. As of Wednesday afternoon, Shy was being held at the Ocean City Police Department on a fugitive warrant. He was taken before a District Court Commissioner and was ordered to be held on a $5,000 bond for the pending Ocean City charges and without bond on the out-of-state fugitive warrants.
