LETTER FROM THE CHAIRMAN
Hello Philadelphia and welcome to your 2017 Auto Show!
I use the term "your" because that is exactly what this event is all about...you. We are
delighted to offer you a one-of-a-kind Auto Show developed to entertain and inform you
about the latest advancements in the automotive industry. If it's your first time here, we
are happy to have you. If you are an annual attendee, welcome back! We hope you find
this special program book helpful as you navigate this year's show floor. As a reminder,
it features the details of hundreds of vehicles available in the marketplace as well as
information on automobile dealerships that are closet to you should you find something
that "moves you" on the show floor.
As you enjoy the 2017 Philadelphia Auto Show, please know you are supporting several
great causes right in your backyard. The Automobile Dealers Association of Greater
Philadelphia, owners and producers of this event, donate $2.00 from every Auto Show
ticket sold to the Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation to support initiatives that
enhance the lives and wellbeing of thousands of area children. One of these initiatives is
the Foundation's Driving Away the Cold program, which has distributed more than
265,000 brand new winter coats to local children that need them most. In addition, more
than $6.9 million has been donated to The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia via the
Foundation and Association since 1986. You can read more about both efforts in the
coming pages of this unique guide.
Further, this event is vitally important to the regional marketplace as it influences more
than $3 billion of all vehicles sales in our region. Each year, we proudly welcome
250,000 people with an average of 94 percent of those in the market for a new vehicle
reporting that the show has helped or will help with their purchase decision. In addition,
the show generates an annual economic impact of $50 million on the City of Philadelphia
and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Like I said before, we try and keep it all about
you, the great people of the Delaware Valley. Whether it's giving you the perfect venue
to browse and compare all your vehicle options, a nearby place to bring the family for a
day of fun or an opportunity to grow our communities, both philanthropically and
economically. We've been hosting this show for 116 years and we are proud to offer it
once again. So go ahead, it's time for you to enjoy it.
