AMENDMENTS to the Real On June 14, several provisions of the Act to amend various legislative provisions mainly concerning the financial sector came into force which have an impact on the Real Estate Brokerage Act. For example, starting January 1, 2014, the OACIQ Board of Directors will be comprised of 13 directors instead of 11. The rules regarding the election of the two additional members will be communicated in the near future. Estate Brokerage Act However, the initial bill also called for the sale of an enterprise to be governed by the Real Estate Brokerage Act whenever the enterprise’s assets include immovable property or rights concerning an immovable (including those resulting from a lease), regardless of the market value of the enterprise’s assets.
