Our approach to sustainability is captured through our six corporate objectives: Delivering good value, economically efficient services to our customers is key. We pride ourselves on doing what we say we will as well as improving things every day. Through ensuring our operations are effective and efficient we can reduce our costs and provide good value services to our customers. As a business we have ambitious growth plans. Our parent company Ferrovial provides us with financial stability as well as long term security, to ensure we can continue to invest in the things that matter to us and our customers. As a financially secure organisation we are committed to investing in our people, our assets, new technology and the business to ensure we offer high quality, innovative service solutions. Our people are the public face of Amey and everything we do is defined, solved and delivered by our employees. We are therefore very much committed to investing in our people to equip them with the appropriate skills and tools to support the needs of our customers and to fulfil their potential. Each Amey employee has access to a number of learning days a year and in addition to this, we also invest in emerging talent programmes such as student placements, apprenticeship schemes and graduate programmes. We are committed to ensuring that 3% of the workforce is enrolled on schemes and initiatives like these and we ensure all of our apprentices complete the Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award, which helps them enhance their life skills. This approach has led us to achieve both Investors in People Gold and Champion status for going above and beyond in the way we develop our people.
