State of the Arts
Patrons
Shorecrest's renown arts program
is respected throughout our
community and beyond for
the high quality of student
performances as well as works
of art. The arts program receives
support through the Shorecrest
operating budget, ticket sales
for performances, and generous
State of the Arts patrons. We are
thankful to those individuals
who made donations above and
beyond Annual Giving support
as State of the Arts Patrons.
A Very Special Gift
During the 2012-2013 fiscal year,
the Shorecrest Parent Association
raised and donated funds that
made a new Lower Division
Playground possible. This
wonderful new playground was
installed in the summer of 2012.
That fall our dear friend, and
long-time colleague, Assistant
Lower Division Head Dawn
Weinman passed away. Dawn was
long an advocate of the
importance of play in our
children's lives and the need for
great playground equipment.
In the spring of 2013, the
community gathered as the
playground was dedicated in
Dawn's memory and in honor
of her many years of service to
Shorecrest.
