![]() Jack Mitchell, the rst Headmaster at Prairie School, and in recognition to those donors who have generously given to the Annual Fund for ve or more consecutive years. teachers and meeting architects to enrolling students and families, Jack was able to move Prairie from a corn eld to Prairie's current campus in just a few months. When the School rst opened with 87 students and 13 faculty members, Jack was at the helm. As new construction created The Prairie School we know today, new children enrolled and the program matured. Jack could often be seen infusing a fresh, independent school spirit into the School, writing the Alma Mater, playing his trumpet to whip up enthusiasm, overseeing curriculum development, raising funds, and nally bringing with him the motto we still hear today: "Remember who you are and what you represent."
