PRIMING
Finishing
of wood floors
PROFF LYE, SOFTWOOD LYE, INDUSTRIAL LYE AND DRIFTWOOD LYE
Proff- and Softwood Lye are applied as primers to softwood. Lye is preventing soft wood,
i.e. pine and spruce, from maturing. At the same time it also enhances the natural grain
of the wood and retains the naturally light colour - producing a white wash finish.
After priming with lye, the surface requires a finish with oil or lacquer.
All primers can be applied with a sponge roller coater or spraying equipment on the
production line. Manual application is possible too. Industrial Lye makes no chemical
reaction to the wood but produces a white wash finish to oak looking weathered and is
applied with a sponge roller.
Product information sheet is available.
PROTEGO POSITIVE STAIN COLOURS
Protego water based positive stains are applied in order to colour the wood - regardless
of the wood type. The stain is applied with a soft roller coater and afterwards dried in a
tunnel with strong heat. It is a positive stain that enhances the natural grain of the wood
and produces a beautiful appearance.
