Ocean City Elementary School had several winners in the Americanism Essay Contest, sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary. The second grade of Ocean City Elementary School gathered at Northside Park in Ocean City last Friday to plant a tree to celebrate Arbor Day. Elroy was on hand to greet the children and they were given Drug Awareness bags. The Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic School's girls softball team, pictured, won its first game on Thursday over Lighthouse Christian School by the score of 21-13.

Mendy Fiori's first-grade class at Ocean City Elementary School turned everyday trash to treasure for Earth Day. The students are learning how to respect the environment and ways to help save the Earth. Pictured is Kareem Snell with his elephant creation.
McKenzie Blake, center, was honored by the Daughters of the American Revolution’s Levin Winder Chapter for her award-winning historical essay. Blake’s essay, which won both Worcester County and State of Maryland honors, has been submitted to the district competition.
